Monday Morning

It is Monday and boy do we have some flowers to sell. Production is running on all cylinders which means plenty of roses and sprays are being harvested. If you have any rose needs or looking for some spray roses, be sure to call us first. Chad is still interviewing for a replacement for Shannon but so far no one has made the cut or have the skills and criteria that Chad is looking for. We have been getting lots of calls for Terra Cotta roses, brown roses, chocolate roses, and other earth tone rose colors. Unfortunately, we currently do not have any brown or chocolate roses in production. We just pulled Choco out of production because she was not performing up to our standards. We have been testing Coffee Break but have not decided if we will plant this variety. What varieties would you like to see us grow? Write us a comment and tell us what you think...

Weekly Update

It has been hot here at the farm in Nipomo the last few days which means we have been cutting and harvesting some big numbers on roses. White spray roses are the hottest item right now. We are sold out thru Monday but could have sold 1000 more bunches if we had them. Fall weddings and homecoming dances seem to be sucking up spray roses everywhere. I will be travelling to the farm on October 5th and be there until October 23rd while Chad is in Amsterdam attending the Horti Fair show and picking out our newest varieties for 2009.

2008 SAF Convention

I am here in Palm Beach at The Breakers for the 2008 SAF Convention. Tonight is the last night of the convention which is concluded with the President's Banquet. We had great results at the Outstanding Varieties Competition this year. Eufloria Roses entered 25 varieties into the competition and we received 17 ribbons; 3 blue ribbons, 13 red ribbons and 1 Best in Class purple ribbon. Our spray rose, Flash Night won the Best in Class for spray roses. The other 2 blue ribbon winners were Quincy, a spray rose, and Red Naomi!, a standard rose. This gives us over 200 ribbons we have won for our roses since 1999!
