It's Hot in California
Good Morning! While Southern California continues to burn, we watch from afar and send our thoughts and prayers to the courageous men and women who are fighting the blazes and to all the families who have lost their homes in this tragedy.
Here in Nipomo it has been unseasonably hot. J Schwanke and Kelly Blank were at the farm Thursday thru Saturday shooting some new photos for upcoming ads. We were also working on a new program that will give our customers more than just great roses. It is too early to divulge any of the details but let's say that we are looking at giving more "support" to our customers to help sell our flowers. More to come as the details become available...
This week is Thanksgiving shipping and we are not sure what to expect. Will there be a run on fall colors or will it be light holiday this year? Not sure at the moment but I think people will want a centerpiece of flowers on their tables. It may be a late holiday but I think Thursday and Friday will be wild!

We Grow Stephanotis!
Did you know we grow Stephanotis? That's right, besides roses and spray roses the only other item we grow is Stephanotis. We having been growing it for a little over a year. It is a natural fit to our family because of all the wedding flowers and orders we fill week in and week out. We cut the Stephanotis fresh to order and in clusters as you see in the picture. We also add some extra unopened blooms for the design aspect. We pack the steph in the top of boxes or we can top load in the top of a tall procona. We build a small shelf at the top of the procona that allows the Stephanotis to ride in the procona without touching the blooms of the roses or spray roses below. we can pack up to 6 boxes per procona.
Today, our Stephanotis was selling like never before! We sold over 1100 stems on Monday. We are theorizing one of the main suppliers of Stephanotis is off crop which has open the door for us to get our big and beautiful Stephanotis into some new potential customer's door. So the next time you order our roses or spray roses, be sure to get a box of Stephanotis just to see what everyone's talking about!

The Eufloria Way
Last week we showed some pictures of the grading and bunching process. This week we will show a couple of more steps of the process. Once the graded bunch of roses is placed on the conveyor belt and sent down to the wrapping machine. Once the wrapper has been placed on the bunch the rose bunch, it is ready for a the label that has the variety name and size on it. Once the label is created for that bunch, it is then listed in the inventory and available for sale. The roses are then put into proconas of water, containing Chrysal # 2 holding solution, and taken into the packing and shipping cooler where the roses will remain until they are sold. Once they are sold they are pulled, packed in either a procona or a box, and then strapped to ship to the buyer's location.
When you buy from Eufloria, you are dealing with farm and not a broker. We are in control of every facet of the growing and sales of our roses, spray roses and stephanotis. This guarantees the best flowers possible for your floral needs. Whether you need flowers for your everyday designs or for the special event or wedding for that special customer, you can count on Eufloria Flowers to deliver the best roses possible.
